I saw Vanessa for the first time for her 2 year old photos. She was so very shy, but I got some amazing pictures of her. She came in her little ballet outfit and she looked so cute! Fast forward one year, and I was able to do her 3 year old pictures. Mom wanted outdoors this time, so we headed to the local park. Again, very shy, but she warmed up very quickly! Especially when I gave her my umbrella to play with, and of course, she had a ton of fun playing peek-a-boo around the tree with Mom. I think I got the best pictures when she was doing that. A genuine smile and laugh as she was playing. I look forward to seeing Vanessa on a regular basis as she grows up to capture more of these moments!
I was contacted by Jackie early on in her pregnancy inquiring about maternity photos for later. We were able to get some pictures taken before I went out of town for vacation. I promised her at least one edited photo before I left, and then would work on the rest when I got back.
Still working on the photos from the session, but I was able to give her some of them. I hate to leave people hanging waiting. But Jackie was very patient with me.
I can’t wait to meet the little guy when he finally arrives. We will be doing newborn photos with him! I can’t wait! I love doing newborn pictures…gives me my “baby fix!” My baby is now a 19 year old grown up little girl; so any time I get to hold and cuddle babies is a plus!
I asked Jackie about trying a new way of photographing her new baby. We are going to be doing a combination of posed photos and some lifestyle photos. My heart is leading me to this type of photography for newborns. I am excited and nervous for my first lifestyle photo shoot with Jackie; but I know we will be able to get some amazing photos.
I met Zabdiel when he was only a couple of weeks old…Maybe 6 weeks. Zabdiel’s parents were referred to me by another client of mine. I love when I get referrals like that!
I was asked to do Zabdiel’s 6 month pictures and a special request from mom. Mom had just graduated college and didn’t have any pictures taken of her with her cap and gown. I jumped at the chance to do them! I’m always wanting to do photos I haven’t had the chance to do. Graduation pics is one of those! Now, granted, I took pictures of my daughter on her graduation day from high school. But this is different. This was college! And she wasn’t family!
It took a little bit for little Z to warm up to me, but once he did…he was all smiles for me!
I know it’s been a while. I have been busy these last couple of weeks with photo sessions! I am going to try and get most of them blogged within the next couple of weeks.
I met Amelie last year when I did Christmas mini sessions. This is where I met most of my current clients. Amelie is a very serious little girl! I love the pictures I get of Amelie even though I get only maybe 1 smile per session. That’s okay though. I love when she comes into my studio. She smiles at mom and dad and I’m able to get a couple of shots.
Amelie came to the studio a couple of weeks ago to do her first birthday cake smash. I love doing cake smashes. They are so much fun to watch as they dig into their cakes. Some of the ones I’ve done; the child isn’t sure about the cake and frosting. Either mom or dad has to encourage them to put their hands into it. Some kids? Refuse to touch it. Recoils when they get anything like frosting on their little fingers.
Not Amelie. As soon as she tasted that sweet goodness, she was all in! Even double fisted at one point!
This was the first time I had used seamless backdrop paper, and I loved it so much! I only have one right now, and it’s a bone color, and as you can see, was perfect for this photo shoot.
I look forward to seeing Amelie in my studio more as she grows up into a beautiful little girl! And one of these days, I’m going to get her to smile at ME!
This is Ben…6 months old.
I first meet Ben last year during my Christmas mini sessions. Ben and his sister came to have some pictures taken. I fell in love at first sight! Ben has a smile that is so contagious. And you can see the love between this brother and sister so much.
I asked mom what is unique about Ben…sticking his tongue out like a puppy. He found his tongue in the last couple of months, and just loves showing it off! Even though he can’t physically talk yet, Ben sure knows how to tell you exactly what he wants or what he is thinking!
I’ve seen Ben and his sister several times since Christmas, and love every single time that I get to see them. I love watching them grow up right in front of me. I can definitely tell Ben is going to be a heart breaker when he gets older!
We did two sessions with Ben…first indoors in my studio. Then Ben got sick and we had to postpone the rest of his session. I was finally able to get an outdoor session with Ben in town, and I love the pictures I got of him looking at himself in the mirror. He is on the move now; so mom and I had to keep moving him back away from the mirror. But he always managed to get right back in front of it and just look at himself.
I look forward to many more sessions with Ben in the future.
What I’m looking at
I gave Tater and Lily some doggie ice cream….it’s so funny watching them…they chase that little tub all over porch licking it clean.
Hi…my name is Sherri. And I have an addiction. With nail polish. Yeah…there’s probably close to 100 bottles in this container. Had to find a container big enough to store them all in! And yet, you will hardly ever see my nails painted.
Day 82 Me
I have such a hard time with these pictures. I am the one behind the camera, not in front of it! I took a lot of pictures, and didn’t like any them, delete them, and start over…this one was the best one that I saved….not the best, but I was trying something different.
Day 83 On the floor
Tater didn’t even move when I laid down on the floor to take his picture…just looked at me, like just get it over with will ya?!?!?
